Sih-Chin Wu

Sih-Chin Wu, a visual artist, integrates various forms including imagery, sculpture, new media, and spatial installations in his creative practice. He constructs specific narratives by exploring research topics such as natural ecology, archaeology, and ethnography, establishing interpretive methods through connections across different times, spaces, and dimensions. He has been in residence at the National Museum of Prehistory(Taitung/Taiwan) and the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC, Valencia/Spain). His recent solo exhibitions were held at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts. He has also participated in group exhibitions such as the Asian Art Biennial, Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition, and Pan-Austro-Nesian art festival. Currently lives and works in Taitung.

Sayun Chang

Graduated with a Master’s degree from The Hartt School, University of Hartford (USA), and a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Music, Taipei National University of the Arts, percussionist Sayun Chang is passionate about contemporary music, world music, and interdisciplinary performance and creation. She is also devoted to promoting music education in rural schools.

She has performed in various international festivals, including the Mostly Mozart Festival, Festival de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville, International Festival of Arts and Ideas, Make Music New York, Jeonju International Sori Festival, New Taipei City International Drum Festival, World Music Festival @ Taiwan, Taiwan Hakka Music Festival, Forest-River-Ocean Wetland Art Festival, Dadaocheng International Arts Festival, Taiwan International Improvised Music Festival, Another Wave Festival, Taipei Arts Festival, and Taiwan International Festival of Arts, among others.

In 2017, she was selected for the OneBeat international music exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, creating and touring across the western United States. In 2022, she was invited again to participate in OneBeat X, celebrating the program’s 10th anniversary. In September 2024, she served as Guest Artistic Director for OneBeat Taiwan.

Her recent performance recordings include Breathing Taiwan (W&J Productions, 2017), Legend of Flowing Light (Yijing Ensemble, 2020), and The Beginning (Yijing Ensemble, 2023). Among them, Legend of Flowing Light was nominated for Best Instrumental Album at the 32nd Golden Melody Awards.

Her sound design works include Liu Yu’s “If Narrative Were a Flood” (2021), Erlu Creative Arts Studio’s “Dreaming in the Woods: Encountering Hagay” (2022), Romantic Route 3 Arts Festival’s “Bridge Exploration” (2023), and New Taipei City Art Museum’s “PE Class: The Path” (2024).
