Liao Yu-Hsuan

Liao Yu-Hsuan possesses a master’s degree in musicology from National Taiwan University. She’s currently a research assistant in Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica. The research centers around a wide range of issues, such as Taiwan sonic ecology,sound scape poetry and ethnography. Her artworks raise awareness of the contact zones in nature, technology, history.

and sound art performing. The aim is to explore how the tactile and auditory senses are stimulated via repetitive reproduction of modern sound in our society, which crosses species as well as social systems.
